I bailed Trona Pinnacles at the end of last weekend, heading back to San Diego to finish off the last things to do there. Picking up my mail and appropriately setting up mail forwarding to the new address, I hung out for a week, and am slowly heading my way out elsewhere.
My old mailbox service has been great, but having to pick up the mail and dig through it kind of sucks. After months of not picking it up, I had a whole pile of shit to dig through. It wasn’t too difficult, but I’m glad to have that appropriately forwarding to my new service, where I can handle the majority of these tasks online.
With that done and having dropped off files and such that I needed for the new resident information for Nevada, I’m finally ready to head on out somewhere else altogether!
I decided to start the day with a drive through the San Diego mountains on CA-78, a fun drive. I stopped at Inaja Memorial Park along the way and hiked the 1/2 mile loop trail that is Inaja National Recreation Trail. It’s an easy, but beautiful hike.
Finally, I finished by coming out to Blair Valley in Anza Borrego Desert State Park to set up camp. I’ll hang out here, maybe leaving tomorrow, maybe staying longer. Cell reception with a booster exists for Verizon, but it’s finnicky, which is concerning me for work. I’ll have to see how it goes over the course of the night and decide what to do in the morning!
